How do I create a memory?

Tap anywhere on the map to drop a pin, or use the + button. Add your text, photos, videos, and audio notes. Your memory is automatically encrypted and saved.

Is my data really private?

Yes. All your private memories are encrypted on your device before being stored or synced. We use a zero-knowledge architecture, which means we cannot access your data even if we wanted to. Your encrypted data syncs through your personal iCloud account.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

All your existing content remains accessible. You can still view and play your photos, videos, and audio. You just won't be able to add new multimedia content beyond the free limits. Your memories are never deleted.

How does Magic Scan work?

Magic Scan uses on-device AI (Apple's CoreML and Vision) to analyze your photo library and automatically create memory drafts based on location and time patterns. No photos ever leave your device during this process.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings in the app and tap "Delete Account." This permanently removes all your data from our servers. Your iCloud data can be managed through your Apple ID settings.

Can I use DearMaps without an account?

Yes. You can use DearMaps as a guest with all core features. Your data stays on your device only. Creating an account enables iCloud sync and the social feed.
